Time for Fall Comfort

This weekend, fall weather really came to the Seattle area, complete with thunder, lightening, winds and rain.

Sunday ended up being just the kind of day to curl up with a cozy throw, a cup of tea and a little reading and Netflix.

As I looked around my home I knew I wanted to add a bit of easy fall decor that could ease right into winter.

I thought of an easy DIY project I thought you might want to make as well.

You may not know it but in my other life I was an Interior Designer for over 30 years. And for the last of those years I did home staging which I loved.

In those days one of my typical coffee table touches was a big bowl of chunky potpourri that added some visual interest and texture plus it was scented, I can feel the sneezes coming on now as I realize the fragrance I was using was a chemical toxic mess.

We can do better than that.

Here is how easy it is with a few found ingredients from your kitchen, a favorite basket or bowl and a few drops of your essential oils of choice.

Potpourri is an easy way to bring the essence of fall into your home. Simply gather some of your favorite spices and herbs, place them in a bowl, and add a few drops of essential oil for an amazing aroma.
